The Chicago Arts District hosts "2nd FRIDAYS Gallery Night", the monthly opening receptions at the galleries and artists' studios centered around South Halsted and 18th Streets in Chicago.
This month's 2nd Friday is special as it is the "Opening of the Fall Season" Join over 30 creative spaces in the Chicago Arts District at South Halsted and 18th Streets, as they showcase an exciting display of art and artists from Chicago and beyond. This unique art community opens its doors, free of charge, and lets you get up close and personal with the art and artists. This is the biggest Gallery event of the year, you won't want to miss it!
Pick up a map at the information center at 1821 S. Halsted and explore the city's most vibrant art community, the Chicago Arts District, where people meet ART!
Hours in specific districts include:
- 5-8 pm in River North (Free trolleys)
- 6-9pm in West Loop. (Free trolleys)
- 6-10pm for 2nd Fridays in the Chicago Arts District in Pilsen East.
- 6-10pm for 2nd Fridays in the Fine Arts Building at 410 S. Michigan
To help you get around they will be offering Trolley Service.
