Dominicks - The End of an Era and Stackable e-coupons!

Crap! Crap! and Double Crap!

Looks like Dominicks has put the "kabosh" on stacking e-coupons with paper coupons!

Here's the exact wording:

23. Dominick's does not allow a customer to redeem two or more manufacturer coupons against the same item in a single transaction.

24. Coupon stacking policies for manufacturer coupons apply to paper and electronic coupons that have been loaded to a club card.

25. If a customer presents two coupons for the same item in a single transaction, Dominick's will give the highest discount for that item, subject to the terms of the applicable offer and/or coupon.

People have been reporting that when an e-coupon is applied either their paper coupon beeps and is denied and or that the e-coupon "disappears" once the paper Q is used!

Now, it states "If a customer presents two coupons for the same item in a single transaction, Dominick's will give the highest discount for that item".

Uuummm...how the heck are they going to do that if the e-coupon is magically disappearing......and if the paper coupon is a higher value how are the going to manually cancel out the e-coupon.....that's what I'm wondering!

That means the end of me shopping at Dominick's! They are higher priced as it is, but with stacking the coupons you could sometimes find decent deals. Thank you for the info, I was not aware of this. :)
