Chicago - FREE American Girl Doll Events through November

All of the following events are FREE and take place at the Chicago location! No need to register for FREE events just drop in between the times listed. If you have questions just call: 1-877-247-5223. Make sure to call ahead and confirm dates and times!

Innerstar University Day

From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on September 3, 10, 17, and 24, October 2, 9, 16, and 23, November 5, 12, and 19.Girls ages 8 and up can attend a free craft event relating to the new American Girl online world, InnerstarU. Kids will make crafts such as Innerstar University student ID cards and yearbooks for their dolls. They will also participate in an in-store "campus" scavenger hunt.

Lanie's Nature Activity Day
From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on September 4, 11, 18, and 25; October 8th (2pm - 4pm), October 11th, kids ages 8 and up can attend a free nature-inspired event with Lanie®, the 2010 Girl of the Year®. Participants will take part in activities like learning how to start a small garden in a seed-starter cup, crafting a label for their garden, and trying a garden-themed scavenger hunt.

Bitty Twins Animal Safari
Taking place on September 9, 12 (1pm - 3pm), 23; October 7, 17 (1pm - 3pm), 21 Your little girl can join the Bitty Twins for an imaginary animal adventure! At this fun event, preschoolers can punch-out and color paper animals to take home. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 3 and up

Fashion Fun Paper Doll Craft
Taking place on September 10th from 5pm - 7pm. Learn how to make your own paper doll clothing! You’ll use stencils of clothing designs, patterned paper, and decorations to create original outfits for your own paper doll. Inspired by American Girl’s Paper Doll Fashion Fun craft book.

Molly's Star Whirler CraftTaking place on October 30th from 4pm -6pm. Say “Hurray for the USA!” just like Molly did in her day—learn to make a patriotic star whirler. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

Julie’s Paper Butterfly Craft
Taking place November 18th from 2pm - 4pm Butterflies were big in Julie’s generation—join the fun with this easy craft activity that teaches girls how to make and decorate butterflies from paper. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

Holiday Window Unveiling
Taking place exactly at 5pm....so arrive a little early (15 min is suggested) Celebrate the season with American Girl! You and your girl can be the first to see our holiday window display and enjoy treats to help you get in the spirit. Free and open to the public. For all ages. FREE cookies and coa coa to the first 200!
